I was queuing in The Range today and a guy turned towards me.

"I got good news today" he mumbled. I could see he wasn't quite right.

"What was that?" I replied.

"Doctors had said I had had Motor Neurone Disease"....", "....but now they've said it's Multiple Sclerosis".

"I'm pleased for you..." I said somewhat hesitatingly.

He smiled and grinned and then walked merrily to the cashier.

I don't know that he did have "good" news but he certainly found joy in being told that things weren't as bad as they might have been.

I can see where he was coming from but yes. He was happier and that's the main thing.
