Thank you so much for all your votage, it seems all the more genuine as anyone (and frequently a hell of a lot on here do) can blow smoke up someone's arse in the hope of getting their own agenda (or their rocks off most of the time) with the usual platitudes of "ur amazing" "ur beautiful" etc, etc, when someone so much as uploads a grainy pic of a lady's bits with a pile of unwashed crockery in the background...Yet for pictures to be accepted on concept, thoughts they're trying to convey and execution as well as the titillation value is something more profound to me.
Those who've known me in the years I've been on here will know of my love of the english language, it's many nuances and the wonderful emotions it can invoke whether they be humourous, arousing, or even just for provoking thought. This may mean you've somehow been entertained by my vernacular, it may also mean that you've rolled your eyes as I slap yet another bloody essay on a thread and offered a silent prayer that I shut the fuck up.
However, it's only in the last few years that I finally thought about the adage of a "picture saying a thousand words" and wondered whether I could with no actual background in photography try conveying emotions as much with this medium instead? So yes, I'm learning as I go and making it up as I go along really!
I would also like to thank of course P for being so bloody photogenic (having a gorgeous subject is a blessing) as well as having the patience with my long-winded concepts, the software developers at Samsung for putting a half-decent camera in their s9+ series, God if he exists for giving decent weather for the outdoor shots MOST of the time and of course the population of the forum for appreciating or at the very least putting up with numerous examples of my newer passion slapping them in the eyeballs on a regular basis!

No I'm not bitter, just would like people accept it is what it is and move on, like Bexit or no Bexit it is all about self interest between a small group of people. More important things like "Do we think it would be better to have a panel of experts (not just the judges) rather the a public vole in strictly? Or to eat Brussel sprouts one not to eat Brussel spouts.

B"That is true to some degree, but people do take them seriously and it becomes a popularity indicator for some and ranking, like Top Girl/Top boy, Jocks and cheerleaders and use it as status to deride others. What started out as seemed a good idea and a laugh between a few can have a serious negative effect on others and in some cases (not talking FAB particularly but in real world also) can end in tragedy. Every keeps talking about it in the forums but it is just talk, these "whose hot and who's not threads" keep cropping up. Practice what is preached!! You know I've been bullied, lied about, had people come into my personal life to cause trouble and not just my "online life or presence" so please, don't tell me I'm part of a clique because of nominations from other people.
People voted for me because they like who I am, and I'm proud of who I am.
I give advice to people and encourage people to believe in themselves, I open myself up and share my trials, tribulations, ups and downs in the hope that other people may feel supported or offer them hope.
I'm guessing that those who voted for me are those that like seeing that kind of thing, perhaps people I've helped over this past year. If they wanna give a nod to it then fair enough, if not then nobody is forcing them to.
Yes it's light hearted but it's also nice to know you're doing something right and not everyone is out to get ya, or has warped others perceptions through lies and gossip.
To me it's not about friendships or whatnot when voting, it's about being true.
Am I close to Taff? No.
Did I vote him most positive forumite? Yes, because I believe he is.
Just because people have friends doesn't mean they vote that way to "rig" things or curry favour.

Some of us do not desire to be popular, "in" or get nominated, just simply tell it like it is, many it can be damaging. Should this exclude us from using the internet? All these comments reinforce the negative side of these posts " I tell it like it is, if someone is behaving in a way that's not cricket I'll tell them, whether it's someone I know or not, so remaining true to yourself is not gonna exclude anyone from being "in", unless they're a twunt. "Please try and remember it is just a bit of fun, every year we have the people who are not chosen complaining...maybe make yourselves better known if you want to be nominated. If not being picked is going to lead to you being upset or even worse as suggested on the thread, then maybe the internet is not for you. People always in the (in-crowd) "a narrow exclusive circle or group of persons". say its just for fun, but to many its not.
