Oldest/earliest memory you have?

They say we don't remember much if anything of our childhoods esrly years so let's put it to the test.

What's your earliest memory and how old do you think you were at the time?

In a dark room with an old lady nearby who was talking to my mum. There were oranges in a large brown fruit bowl and the table and chairs had barley twist legs. The light was subdued by something covering the windows.

My mum was insistent that I was no older than a year old when this visit took place when I described this random memory to her about twenty years ago.
