I’ve seen several profile who have managed a veri after such a short space of time from a meet that day.

Am I just overly suspicious or is this a bit suspect?

How do you know what time they met?

Are you keeping tracks on certain members?

I’m sure most are genuine and from meets with a previous profile but after being asked to verify someone I hadn’t met it made me think that some may be fake.

I've had old friends return and message me to verify them - if you know someone from meeting, that's fine. It can help people who view them to evaluate them with greater information - or cynicism, as in this instance.

Report suspicious stuff to admin though

Just joined on a Friday or Saturday. Post pics that look off and has the update. Hinting that its their first time on here. 20 minutes to an hour after joining they get verified.

Old friends re-joining - or even they met in a club the "new" person wasn't on Fab and the person that verified them told them about it so they signed up and hey presto immediate veri.

Other plausible reasons may also apply - all you can do is go with your gut instinct though OP - talk to the person and see how genuine you think they are

I was verified an hour after re-joining. Oh my days really !! I’ve been on off here for 8 years I know many people on here who can verify me.

First time I joined it was because I’d met loads of people at chams and they said to join. Within twenty mins I had a half dozen veris.

I had 2 veris within the first hour.

I was on another site and recommended this one.

So a couple of the people I'd met several times from there verified me as genuine.

I think the trouble some people have is they get blinded by the thought of a meet and leave any notion of gut instinct or caution at the door - and more often than not that is when people get duped.

By taking time and talking to people you can build a level of trust and get a sense of how genuine someone is.

I think your a touch paranoid OP. People know people from previous membership or other sites, or a club visit and someone recommenced they join Fab and then had given their profile name and a veri is given.

Why don’t you message them and ask about the 20 minute time slot it took them to receive the veri.

We can but guess but only they know the truth.....

I had my first, within a couple of minutes.

Somebody I knew told me about this site, veried me as soon as I joined.

I've reveried several friends, when they've rejoined.

A 'quick' veri, isn't always suspicious
