No not too messages on here I’ve been looking for a new job for a while and I am amazed at how few companies even acknowledge you so guys it’s not just fab women it’s everywhere

I am using two I am finding either I don’t like the company or they will not entertain a phone interview to save me taking time off or travelling great distances

Try to be a foreigner, it took me 5 months to find a job after I moved because not even retail gave me a chance. I guess they just assume I'm someone with a poor English who won't be able to put a sentence together.

Keep your focus on your objectives, rather than the things that are the distraction. It's a job in itself to find a job, though the pay comes later. Learn as you go, such as via your questions and improve your searching skills.

Do what you can to keep your self-belief and motivation high.

I tend to find LinkedIn pretty good these days. You can ask a connection to refer you for roles in their organisation for instance

I heard a story yesterday where the application form recipient would literally pick up half the application forms in one go and throw them in the bin without having read one word. He would justify it by saying "well them people are obviously unlucky and i don't want unlucky people working here"

I know this might not be a popular response but if you actually take a look from both the situations regarding how many messages single ladies and couples receive and job applications you’d understand why it’s simply not possible to reply to everyone it would be like you receiving 100s of messages from single guys that you have no interest in yet you would reply to all ?? I know I wouldn’t

Well even when looking for jobs most companies actually state on application forms that not all people will receive a response
