Disheartening

It really is. 80 per cent of the people on this site are single men, 15 per cent are couples (and some of those are single men posing) and 5 per cent women. Add to that the time and emotional investment you spend getting to know someone only to fond out they aren't who they say they are. People ghosting on meets. On a technical level, Fab is great! The chat rooms, the cams, the forums, the moderators... fantastic! But we've only made a few real friends here in three years, and they're too far away. There's a site here in the US that is only couples and ladies. Though not as technically advanced as Fab, I think it will suit us better. For us, Fab had been more a fantasy than a reality.

Totally get this OP.

Yes it's a shame people leave for the reasons and statistics you've given. The site isn't as good as it once was. I've been here for years and years, and had only a handful of meets, and now I'm even older, I've all but given up!!. I'm just here for the banter and perving now! Lol x

Yes, it is. There's a lot of people on Fab in the US, but it's so big and they're all spread out!

I counted all the people in the chat rooms by m, m/f, and f. Then rough estimated by people we've encountered who said they were m/f, but "the wife doesn't play anymore" and other excuses.

Where do the MM, FF and TV/TS fit? You have used up 100% on just 3 groups. I would say that there are probably as many TV/TS as single ladies.

Also only a small percentage of users go in chat rooms and use the forums.

That said, single men are far and away the largest group.

The percentages are relative to the groups I mentioned. The other groups are a small minority, probably equal to single females. Again, these are rough estimates, but as you said, it's obvious the majority on here are single men.

I have been on here for 6 years maybe 7 and have met lots of people. I very rally go in the chat room as I find it boring.

I have had my fare share of time wasters but I don’t let them get me down. As for the US is it not the distances involved. I know Florida very well and having driven from Key west to Jacksonville it’s like Cornwall to Manchester, but easier to drive.

I suppose some people will be disappointed and others will have a good experience as in any walk of life. Humans trying to make connections on a virtual world will always be fought with difficulties whether you are a single male, female or a couple. In the end there is no substitute to meeting someone face-to-face getting a sense of who they are and whether you like them or not as a person.

I agree with you mate. This site was once amazing until that Craig’s List and Gum tree closed its causal encounters and then those weirdos started flooding Fab. So annoying.

It’s not the same anymore. Too many ghosts and time wasters now.

Well we all still have each other and thank goodness the forum is still alive
