Trans women and children at xmas

# This is a question for all the trans girls on here #

I'm asking if any other trans girls at Xmas feel that they are getting broody. This is the 4th year that I've felt broody at this time of the year, and dont know why. Anyone else have this situation at all?

I helped my sister raising my nephew and nieces for years so after we stopped speaking it proper hurt then finding out they got put in care broke me as it just triggered childhood with our biological mum. Got with a guy and we planned on starting a family but couldn't afford the £7,500 IVF price tag So, unforts, being broody has glued to me for a while. I'd love nothing more than to offer love and stability - alot of people say adopt but I went through adoption and had the worse experience. The fear of them going back to their parents at 18 too would scare me. I'd love to just be able to leave my bloodline behind on this planet after I'm gone xx

I get broody whenever I get to cuddle a baby.

I had custody of my first daughter from 16 months old and won a second custody fight when I split with the mum of my second daughter when she was 4 years.

Loved being a single parent and I long for those days again whenever I’m with babies and very young kids.

In reality tho, I’m turning 50 in a few days and so I’ll just look forward to being a grand parent.

Why shouldn't you be broody? Anyone can be.

Perhaps it's because Christmas is mostly for kids?

I’m slightly confused why you asked only trans women about being broody. There are also plenty of cis women who cannot have children for various reasons who find themselves broody and struggling at various points in the year, particularly Christmas.

I agree with you do any of us transition to want to push a pram? Not something i considered when i first came out i was to busy having my arse lasered and things like that.

Sorry I took so long to reply to you: very sorry about what happened to you. Children are beautiful, and being lgbt as well means that we can have them as well. There are other people in the gay community that also want children, so if you do get to the stage that you want children, then go for it. There's nothing to lose, hunni.

Jayde, I agree with you that when you come out, that you have many different things to think about. Children are usually the last thing that you will be thinking of at that time. However, things in your life will change again, and having a child maybe the right thing for you, especially if your age is an issue. I for one, am broody, and am hoping to have a child through ivf with a surrogate female. Please don't dismiss the idea. ??
