Toilet seat...

Why, why is there such a doda over whether it's up or down?

Is it because you don't look before sitting and the cold rim shocks your 'lady' to not want to pee?

If it's down, women moan about dribbles, so lift it up after you have finished ladies, or is that to much?

little house on the praire

It always makes me laugh people complaining about the toilet seat being left up. You go to the loo, it takes a second to put it down. Takes far longer and far more energy to moan about it.

I just conditioned myself to pee sitting down.

That stopped all the arguments and the occasional over-spray due to bad aim.

If it's up and you need to sit, put it down, if it's down and you need to stand, lift it up. What could be so difficult about it.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Not a big deal but I've heard of women going to the loo in the middle of the night, expecting it to be down and it being up and fracturing their coccyx.

To be honest its probably best to put the lid down too considering what happens when you flush your loo.

I always put the lid down as the thought of the residual spray due to flushing turns me sick especially after a number 2 trying to teach kids that is a bit hard though

The Town by The Cross

Never mind the seat. The LID should be down each time someone goes to the loo. Who would flush with the lid up ? Yak....

I read some study evidence somewhere that men should leave the seat up. it was something to do with the amount of energy ( measured in seat moves ) that was needed.

I'll see if I can remember it.

Let's presume seat down.

Woman goes in. Seat is down. She pees. No up or down needed.

Man goes in. Seat is down. He lifts it up (1) He pees. He puts it back down(2)

So woman does nothing.

Let's presume man doesn't put seat back down. Woman comes in and has to put seat up. ( 1 move each )

2. Let's presume seat UP to start.

Man goes in and pees. Leaves seat up and goes out (0 moves ) Woman comes in puts seat down (1) pees. puts seat up (2) Woman is working twice as hard as man.

If she left the seat up it would make more sense.

She pees puts it up ready for man coming in.

He pees puts it down for wife coming in.

ONE move each. Labour shared.

It's all been wrong for years.

Try working together not against each other.

WOMEN PUT SEAT UP AFTER PEEING.

MEN PUT SEAT DOWN AFTER PEEING.

Needs a no kid couple who pee alternately..... tho.

I bet the Queen doesn't have this discussion with Phil the Greek on a daily basis. She's the monarch so he HAS to leave it down. By order.

I'm fairly sure Phil and Liz will have someone who goes in before and after to ensure lid/seat is in correct position for whoever's about to park one's royal bum/present one's royal tinkle
