Good evening all. Does anyone have any great first message tips? I’ve tried loads of different things, proper intro, Risque intro, formal intro. People who I think I might click with.

Ladies, have you had anyone’s so good you just had to reply...?

Each of the first messages that have gone on to be my best meets started with literary references and discussion. I’m a sucker for a bibliophile.

There is no one size fits all answer.

One person my think your message is great, another may think it's shit.

Be polite, no penis in the first message, definitely a face. Read the profile, address both if it's couple.

Do not send a picture of your junk measuring up against an inanimate object.

I've never been swayed by a first message alone.

Read their profile, try and get a gauge of what they’re like (do they use humour, do they have specific requests or interest). Ask them interesting questions (not how are you, or what are you in to).

And if you try that and they don’t reply, well then it wasn’t meant to be.

All of the above (apart sorry the obvious sarcasm)

Spark someone's mind.

Open a discussion, be interesting.

Rem_mber the first thing most people will do is read your profile.

I always look at a profile before I even open their message. If nothing appeals then it's unlikely they can sway me in a message.

I do exactly the same. Then I read the message if they seem ok

I can understand that, but to get a response it has to be something good and/or interesting right?

Read the profile, then read it again.

Be polite, and certainly no one liner message, and attach a face pic.

Don’t send a dick pic !!!

If to a couple address them both.

I always read a profile before I send a message and try and make it relate, but doesn’t seem to get anywhere most of the time. I’m not the kind of person to copy paste and message. Must just be me! Lol

Thank you. Looks like I need to do some work on my profile then, it’s pretty bare

I always send a face picture, never a dick pic. What sort of things grabs both of your attentions then?

There and to the left a bit

As others have said before you even consider what a good first message is (and reality is there is no correct answer that will work every time) you should consider whether your profile is up to scratch because if it's not then you could send the most perfectly worded message and still get nowhere.

Also rem_mber there are other ways to get to know people beyond just sending messages cold to them - the forums/chat rooms are one way, group socials and clubs another

I like to learn something from a profile and to be intrigued and have my interest piqued.
