Manchester (she/her)

I'm often reflective in December, although usually towards the back end of it. I think this has been my year. I've overcome a lot, grown a lot as a person, I've hit my stride, and I finally feel at peace. (this is of course helped by an utterly amazing weekend)

What about you? Has 2019 been good to you?

On a mooch

It’s been a stressful year, but I’ve had some laughs along the way.

The end of the year is nearly here and with that passing, I leave behind the biggest cause of stress for the last 3 years for good.

Looking forward to 2020 and see what it brings.

2019 has been a hell of a year. Long, challenging, lots of emotion and at times lots of frustration and anger.

However, I feel as if I’ve pulled through, there’s still plenty to work on and improve and get right for my boys. I do look back and think “how the heck have we got through that?”

Kids are amazing, they never judge you and they always great you the same way, with the most amount of love they know.

Hiding in the shadows

It's had a lot of emotional highs & lows, but the highs won.

I've discovered a side to me, I didn't think I was capable, still not sure whether it's a good thing or not?

Physically, it's probably been my worst year in a very long time. Menapause, hormonal overload & other related health issues, having to give up a few things I truly loved doing.

I'm determined to sort that out in 2020 & get myself back on track.

All in all 2019, hadn't been the best, but it's far from being the worst year of my life

In 1 way it's been the best year of my life in another way its been the darkest of my entire life. I'm still coming to terms with my forced disability and the fact I just can't do what I used to not give a 2nd thought to but a very special somebody has made it much easyer. Although it still make me very angry I'm Learning my new limitations. Life can be so very shit but absolutely amazing at the same time. Very strange indeed

Positive! I've been on a couple of amazing holidays, my business has taken off, and I'm buying my first house which also involves a Big Life Change. There have also been some great times with friends, and a lot of fun with more-than-friends.

It's been hard at times to stay upbeat in this political climate, but I've found that avoiding the news (or the comments sections anyhow!) and focusing on friends, family, and the things within my control has been helpful.

2019 has mainly been a shocker, started late 2018 with a hospital calling us whilst on holiday to visit them ASAP. Upshot of this being a serious life changing prognosis and the fact that I injured myself on said holiday and its taken until last month to get the operation I needed to return to being pain free.

We did win a cruise though so not all bad, but we don't really want to go through all that again.

So looking forward to next year and getting to visit new clubs to us and meeting new fabbing friends.

It's been a great year for me. Joining a club (and finding the courage to get involved properly) has done wonders for me, particularly my confidence. I've made some new friends. I've had one of the best years of my life.

But it has also been a terrible year for too many good friends. So much has gone wrong for them. It's heart-breaking.

So next year, if whoever is in charge of these things is listening, could you please be a bit kinder to everyone else? Or at least give me that magic wand I've been wanting, so I can fix things for them. They deserve a good year too.

Nobody’s died, and going on my past years that’s an achievement in itself. My mum’s health has worsened, and it’s tough to see her in so much pain on a daily basis.

My youngest son has blossomed, his speech has come on so much as well as his reading which makes my heart burst with pride.

My eldest son is growing up so fast and is a kind, funny, thoughtful soul.

On the whole, It’s been good.

It's been a shit year. I fell out with my best mate and we're barely on speaking terms now. Bit awkward as his wife is in my band and we rehearse at their place.

Then, just as I was thinking things were starting to look good, I am now placed "at risk of redundancy", and going through the consultation process. They're reducing numbers by 2/3rds, and find out next Wednesday whether I stay or go. It's making me feel sick.

Unfortunately it’s been somewhat of the worst, emotionally and physically. The body has been ill and broken a number of times this year and the emotional turmoil of work coupled with any whisper of a personal relationship has simply been mangled....

Although if anyone has a secret remedy for this cough I’ve had for 4 weeks I’d be very grateful...... roll on to 2022

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

It has been a very good year for work but it has been so busy I only had a week off in March and a long weekend in June. I'm tired.

Fabwise it started relatively well and I had sex. Yay! That dwindled and it looks like my Fab days will end without a bang.

My mental health has been relatively good. I have been low but I have managed not to tip into depression.

Physically my health has been relatively good but the weight I lost at the beginning of the year has been regained and I look like a stuffed butterball turkey.

I have had much. much worse years than this so I am thankful.
