Forced is a strong word. I think coerced is probably more accurate. But at 17, Virgina Roberts was a child.

To my mind, Prince Andrew is guilty of accepting sexual arrangements by Epstein and Maxwell involving minors which meant he could then be bl@ckmailed.

He was in an environment in which this kind of sexual activity was the norm and people in that immediate environment knew it.

Ensuring that the threat of bl@ckmail would not become a reality is why he met with Epstein after Epstein was released from jail.

Andrew is guilty of over confidence and stupidity in taking that BBC interview in which he is clearly lying. In doing it, he has dug himself into a deeper hole.

At this point with US subpoenas, he can’t travel to the States without having to testify or challenge the court ruling.

He’s stepped back from public duties. He’s going to have to step back from public life. Live somewhere quiet, unseen and watch a lot of Netflix for a few years.

Has he committed an offence in the UK? I doubt it someone earlier referred to some UK legislation which I am not sure it is applicable. The criminal claims are being made by the victims of Epstein and their lawyers. The victim in relation to Andrew says she was "trafficked" i.e brought here for the purposes of sex, and Andrew knew and therefore was complicit. There being no other evidence the victim's lawyers are asking Andrew to effectively either voluntarily incriminate himself, or to say something so that they can tie him up in the civil courts so he pays out. That is why they keep throwing up evidence to make him look seedy but do not prove any offence.

Be under no illusion that the end game here is not prosecution of Andrew as a criminal but a civil case and a claim for damages and or a settlement.

Dai Davies, former royal protection officer, has said that at that time, Andrew would have been guarded 24/7 and has suggested that he and his security staff are questioned by the FBI, about events, so it can be cleared up one way or the other...hmmm...
