Question..

If it were,nt for sexual attraction and need to reproduce...

If this was taken out of the equation..

Would human males and females really want to live together or indeed want to hang out together?

I'd still need someone to cook my tea.

Isn't that they same as a platonic relationship?

Some of my best friends are male. I don't feel sexually attracted to them, I don't want to have babies with them.

I love men. They can be funny, and useful - and not just for sitting on.

I hate shopping, can't knit and know Jack shit about fashion. I like talking about music, films and sports. My entire day today is being planned around an American football game. And I'm definitely a woman. I've like, had a baby an that.

Some would. Some like my dad wouldn't probably. He's always moaning there are too many women at the clubs he goes to.

Yes! A few months after losing my partner and being on my own, I just needed to be in the company of a man, nothing sexual or emotional, just needed the presence of a male for a while

Central

We like differences as well as what qualities we have ourselves. There's strength in diversity as well as similarity. From a breeding perspective, we do well from variety, so there's likely evolutionary drivers for change and assimilation between groups

Theres a lot to be said for companionship, though maybe more mates would move in together than maybe do now.
