"I was in the theatre when the preview for phantom menace came on. People were cheering and standing up. It may not be the best one but it is the last star wars movie that my dad got to see in the theatre with all of us, as we all went to see them as a family when we were little. Looking over and watching him lean back in his seat through the pod racing scene is one of my favorite memories. He did see that last couple but not in the theatre. Episode 3 & 4 you could easily say could be in movies My only complaint if i have one is that episodes are 10/15 mins to short, and I have to wait a week for them I don’t actually mind the length because they are very focused. The best way I have heard them described and I agree is a 30 mins live action cartoon Out of the 4 episodes, ep2 probably has been the weekest but that’s still pretty good. | |||

From what I have heard, it's not going to do well at all. It has had extensive reshoots, rewrites, and audiences walking out during test screenings.
To be fair it can't be anything but bad, due to the mess TLJ made of the plot points laid out in TFA (and all previous movies).
Also the one promo clip they have shown is eye roll material. "I've heard all the reports, leaks etc. I'm only looking forward to seeing the film because of how bad it seems to be. Sad that Disney/Lucasfilm have totally fucked the sequel trilogy, but might as well laugh at it. | |||

I’d also recommend some of the fan edits of eps. 1-3 which strip out some of the superfluous BS, and Jar Jar Binks. That way you can keep Ep1 in the Machete Order. There are a few that combine 1-2 into a single feature length edit. | |||
