Because we only know our intentions unfortunately though we also get our perceived intentions and actual intentions muddled up, whereas we can only judge others by their actions because we may never know their intentions, and if we do we only have their word on it!

Same reason the media has gone binary some humans just love a false dichotomy

I assess my self on a multitude of attributes, actions, intentions , reasoning understanding , attitude

And I as many others do do the same when working out other humans

But for the statistical record I regard myself usually upon actions/results not my intentions

Judging is pointless, unless you can make a change then "it is what it is", so better to simply react rather than wasting emotion on judgement..... .....and it's easy to change yourself than others and in doing that you'll often achieve both.....

Some people love to judge others as it makes them feel better about their own issues. It’s why Eastenders and Coronation Street exist.

I think the word judge is what is causing the problem here. People get offended by it but if you are honest we all do it. It’s just the degrees that differs really...

Using judgement to choose if someone is who they say they are and making choices based on actions can be a sound thing.

Making sweeping judgements purely based on people being different that’s a very different beast.

Talk at the end of the day is cheap. I can only go on what people do and if that is in complete contradiction to what they say all the time then that in itself tells me a lot.

No not really. I fab a picture because I appreciate the beauty, the cheekiness, the effort made, or eroticism of it.

Because we know our intentions or at least we like to think we do. I suspect many of us claim to even ourselves that the intent behind lots of our actions is honourable when sometimes it's not.

We can only infer other people's intentions from their actions unless they explain.

This doesn't take into account those of us who continue to believe what people say rather than what they do which leads me to think that your op isn't 100% correct.

You could call this judgement, if you changed the text to

"I fab a picture because I have judged to to be beautiful, cheeky, good effort and/or erotic" ... everyone judges though some prefer to use different words to describe it! Nothing wrong with it in the slightest but the OP asked a totally different question!

There is judging and there is discerning.

We all have judgemental thoughts sometime, it’s what we do with those thoughts that counts.

Discernment is essential, we need to be able to do that.
