Doesn't surprise me. Mistletoe is a parasite that grows on orchard trees. Now that most of our fresh fruit comes from abroad, our orchards have declined making mistletoe rarer.

Yes indeedy - whilst it’s all fine and dandy to cop a sneaky snog underneath it, I’d definitely recommend not to snog the plant itself (the berries are toxic to humans).

The trees are heaving in it where I live and work. The wind blows a good bit down every year. I hang it, but have yet to be kissed under it. There isnt a lot of man traffic under my kitchen archway though, perhaps I should tie it in my hair.
