Do teachers get respect nowadays?.

I heard that it is not easy being a teacher nowadays as they cant do or say anything to disruptive pupils or they will get reported to the office. I believe that respect starts at home.

Are there any teachers here on fab, how is your class?

Can anything be done to restore respect?

I dont think the cane is needed this time

No. Teachers should get a lot more respect.

On top of that, they're expected to do their own job and the parents job as well. How many times do you see the line "Well they should teach in school" in a news paper

I mostly used to teach kids who got kicked out of mainstream schools, If you engage their brains there is no need for disruptions, and if you can engage their brains you will get their respect as a teacher

Further ed can be very challenging. It's not uncommon to be threatened with violence.

Yes, they do.

Could they do with more respect? Sure. Mostly from the parents though.

The kids whose parents engage respectfully tend to achieve more than the ones whose parents demand and bitch all the time.

Teachers aren't invincible they do get things wrong but like everyone else they prefer to be told nicely
