Is it an sti?

For some women they have the distinctive fishy odour and/or a discharge. Lucky women will be asymptomatic (without symptoms).

Google says;

What causes bacterial vaginosis?

Bacterial vaginosis is caused by a change in the natural balance of bacteria in your vagina.

What causes this to happen is not fully known, but you're more likely to get it if:

you're sexually active (but women who have not had sex can also get BV)

you have had a change of partner

you have an IUD (contraception device)

you use perfumed products in or around your vagina

BV is not an STI, even though it can be triggered by sex.

A woman can pass it to another woman during sex.

You're more likely to get an STI if you have BV. This may be because BV makes your vagina less acidic and reduces your natural defences against infection.

"No its not sti its too much soap on ya faj"

That is definitely one potential cause.

Often it's viewed as the opposite.

I'm allergic to metronizadole which means my immune system has to clear it or have used Balance Activ.

Hiding in the shadows

Hot tubs, Jacuzzis, some pools, the chemicals used can bring it on in me.

I had to make sure I showered very thoroughly after

I was recommended by my SH nurse to use the gel before swimming as it'll act as plug.

So far, it seems to have worked.

Either he didn't wash after fucking a woman who had it, or his hygiene was dire, or he'd eaten fish in the not distant past.

I had it once at university (well the GP said that's what it was anyway). I wasn't looking after myself and got really run down. It didn't smell fishy though. Just kind of off and the discharge was very watery. Antibiotics and some probiotics sorted me out!

"Is it more prevalent in vegan women ?"

You could look that up on Google scholar. Offhand the only potential link I can see is probiotic drinks are milk based. But most triggers are external.

BV can be caused by being to clean. If you use a shower head up your pussy and give it a good clean that can remove the good bacteria. Also using a jacuzzi and jet pushing into you pussy.

You're not supposed to spread it on toast.
