I got an epic, satisfying, long term romance. Took a while though. This is a really excellent question, I'll contribute more when I've had more coffee and a think... And watched the end of the football game I fell asleep during last night #gettintoodamnoldforthis

The faithful know only the trivial side of love. It is the faithless that know love's tragedies.

When someone tells me i should be doing something I usually do the third option.

Loads of people want the epic, tragic romance. All the ones who spend their lives pining for "the one that got away" or look all misty eyed while describing their soul mate who they can never be with did to mysterious circumstances (usually an inconvenient husband or wife who they can't possibly leave).

Life isn't a novel epic, tragic romances are heart breaking. Who wants that!?

I've had the former, I'll take the latter, or being single for the rest of my life.

I think in terms of literature and poetry, the epic romances usually end in the death of one or both. Whilst that makes for interesting storytelling, there is a bit of a flaw in that model for real life.

Can I have the option with great sex but the stars stay straight please?

I wouldn't know unless it happened - but at this point in my life it would take someone spectacular to tempt me away from the fun i'm having
