Our school needed permission from parents and my mum said no.

We did see one kid in our class get the slipper in frot of us all and we all felt sorry for him.

Slipper at Junior school then cane at secondary school,had an evil headmaster who had squeaky leather shoes who took great pleasure in taking a run up before canning you .Does make you wonder how many of these old teachers were perverted

Old school......had the cane or slipper. Very painful , the burn lasted a good while.

I like to think it made me a pervier person

Yeah, I was at boarding school for 10 years, at the second one we had separate houses and our deputy Housemaster used to take us into the laundry room if we were being a bit rowdy after lights out and administer his black plimsoll. He called it Bernard, it might as well have been a piece of wet lettuce for what good it did
