I don't think shaving your beard off is a small thing actually. Yeah it grows back but it's part of who you are. Not meeting anyone with a beard is a poor excuse.

I adore beards but i wouldn't refuse to meet someone without one. It's the whole package im attracted to so wouldn't discount for that reason.

At the end of the day let's face it guys come with body and facial hair. I'm all for grooming but not emasculating.

Shaving off a beard is hardly jumping through hoops, women generally shave a lot more surface area than men would need to, give it 2 to 3 weeks and it is back again

If you didn't have a beard, the same person might well have rejected you for wearing trainers instead of brogues, being too tall, any number of reasons. But beard wearing is tricky as I don't think there are many women who will reject a man for not having a beard, there are quite a few that will. However just to balance that number out, there are a similar number of women who will be turned on and aroused by a nice, manly beard. Luck of the draw if the attraction will be mutual, however !

In fairness I have worn a beard for the last 20 years and am a little curious about how I look without it now. But not so curious I have shaved it off yet *but* if I knew doing it meant I had a very good chance of sexy times afterwards as a result, I would be way more motivated. Here's me and my beard...I have to have facial hair whether it be stubble or beard...I don't look right without one

I think men should have beards I think they are awesome, if not up to you but, does worry me that I've seen on woman's profile's They want guys to shave it off to meet them I don't think that is fair at all xx

I couldn't even ask my husband to do that let alone someone on here, really hate mustaches and pubes but I couldn't lay down the law like you must shave that no way xxx

I do like a maintained beard or stubble. Its not a requirement though.
