Hey all!

Guess this is for both bi couples and bi singles

Does anyone else find it strange that "straight" users casually browse your profile, without saying a word, and when you view their profile it clearly says that they're straight... quite often it may something alone the lines of "absolutely no - insert gender here" or "insert gender here - need not message!"

Lol why look at a bi profile, when yours clearly states: straight

Now I'm curious

I mean, I don't mind... just seems to happen a lot

I look at all sorts of profiles. See what people have written. Look at their photos. Get inspiration. Just be nosey.

I don't think anyone is totally straight. I think it's a scale of straightness we're all somewhere on it.

You have to look at the profile to know. Sometimes people check a profile because of a forum post or a new picture.

I'm straight but I look at other women.

Your sexual orientation on fab is not a sworn contract that confines your behaviour to defined limits. It just a checkbox that defines you best most of the time.

"They don't know you're bi until they view your profile"

I guess that's an point I overlooked... but why would a straight guy look at another guy's profile if his profile categorically said he is straight

Especially if I try message, and I get the warning message saying that I'm not what they're looking for

Surely on a scale one end is completely straight. Some must be at that end.

Think of your profile as a shop window and Fab as a high street. You might stop and admire (or grimace) at a window display in a shop you have no intention of entering. Something might catch your eye and you might go in, browse the merchandise and maybe even have a chat with the proprietor.

In the scale in my head exclusively liking men is at one end and women at the other. I don't think very many people are at either end. I think most people fall between....they might not admit it but I think they do.

Not far

I’m straight but will look at a man’s profile if it has been the topic of conversation in the forums. So a man bragging about his pictures or seeking profile advice, I’ll have a nosy. I couldn’t care less if he was straight bi or gay and I wouldn’t know until I read his profile anyway.

I tend to agree with you

Unfortunately, I've had some really negative responses from some users if I drop a message and say hi, so I'm very careful not to overstep someone's boundaries or preferences...

Each to their own, and everyone's entitled to browse... sometimes I feel as though I've caught them out when I say hi, and that's totally not my intention x

Absolutely this, particularly if they aren't getting from the site what they had hoped.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to present yourselves better, successful or not and hopefully they can make it work.

We will be having a bit of a revamp ourselves having gotten through a bit of a shocking 2019 and no doubt we will be looking for some inspiration from others profiles and pictures but adding a little more of us into them.

We get many, many straight couples viewing our profile which clearly states we are a TV/Bi fem couple. I guess we’re a bit of an oddity and people are curious. We don’t mind at all. It’s only if they wink that we find it a bit strange!

Central

There are thousands of people here, including thousands of bi people and likely thousands of people who potentially have a curiosity. That's a lot of people who may look at you.

Many of the rest of us look at others as we've no clue about them until we do. Its perhaps surprising that we're not getting more views

If something causes no issue, it's better to keep your focus on your objectives for using fab

If people don't know your TV/bi until they've viewed your profile then TV/bi can't have been their motivation for reading you profile because the didn't know what they were going to read.

Am I missing something here?

Not at all. Before they click on our profile the header states we are a TV/Bi fem couple. So we make it quite clear who and what we are.

Ok, I just went into the browse section which we do if we want to look at profiles. I put your username in and it comes up with your profile header (Sometimes naughty...etc, etc) If you put our username in our header shows TV/Bi fem couple. This is what people will read when they are browsing profiles before they click on them.
