I should be happy because i'm heading back "home" today after living in east yorkshire for last few years but the reality of it is sinking in and truth be told i dont really want to, so what songs lift your mood? I need a new playlist.

OP you've made me realise all the rock I like is angry. No bad thing, but in all the other genres I adore I could pick happy songs.

Anyway, how about 'I Wanna Make it Wit Chu - Desert Sessions' for a different vibe. Best I could do off the top of my head.

Arcade Fire - Power Out

ZZ Top - Sharp Dressed Man

Motley Crue - Home Sweet Home

Just a couple that got my ass moving the volume up and played again in my world today anyways. Maybe it'll help yours.

Opeth - The Lotus Eater. Absolutely preposterous but utterly brilliant

Muse - Knights of Cydonia. For exactly the same reason as that Opeth song.

They never fail to make me smile.

Agreed, we are not your kind is fantastic!

I’m also a huge fan of all Hope is gone, some of their heaviest stuff resides on that album.
