Can you not borrow a cat for a few hours?

Or humane traps.

Block the holes they get in with those metal pan scrubbers with the pink soap stuff inside , they won't chew through them (I can vouch for this one)

Plymouth and Newcastle (sometimes)

Build a little windmill in the garden and make sure there's plenty of little steps inside as I've heard they quite like them.

mis-types and auto corrects leads cock leeds

Dirty creatures mice pee and poo as they move about, they breed way more prolifically than rabbits as well,

Keep any and all food in cupnboards or metal containers.

Good luck getting rid of them. Traps and poison

Suffolk - East Anglia

We get them every year and we also live in the countryside.

Just keep putting lots of bait down, you can buy it from most hardware shops.

Traps are also good but if you don't like taking a dead mouse out then they're not for you.

Persistence pays, ours have gone but next autumn they'll arrive again.

Bait in thoose little cakes go mad with it and keep monitoring if they are being eaten.

Check around outside for gaps in facias or entry points for the little blightees.

Plug gaps with steel wool and expanding foam they hate the wire wool on there teeth apparently.

Good luck

I found the normal poison in the shops didn't work well, they seemed to rather like it and come back for more. Bought a brand called 'Tom cat' of the internet. That worked better with the rats as well.

I'm not a fan of poison.

The mice crawl off and die an agonising death, and either stink under your floorboards or potentially poison any animals that eat them.

Goliath tarantulas aka birdeating spiders catch and eat mice. Few of them bad boys and you'll be sorted. Oh unless they start fighting each other... I've not thought this through...
