"Forever Young from his Royal Bobness is sublime. I gotta watch that again today." It's just beautiful. He was in such an amazing creative period and already had such an amazing legacy. There's no one like him. Scorsese only topped the Last Waltz when he Made No Direction Home. I can't thank my parents enough for naming me after one of his songs.

"Van the man high kicking his way off stage is indeed a sight to behold. Levon singing The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down is sublime. Dr John always makes me smile. But, the older I get, the more I love Coyote by Joni Mitchell. Great concert by a great Band. " Yes to all of this

"I'm not gonna disagree with the OP. Dylan was great with that song(one off my funeral songs I reckon. At least it was when I was in myy maudlin twenties..). But yeah Neil Young also, even though I'm not a massive fan. Oh. And the fat bearded fella(not Doctor John). Can't remember the song. " Ronnie Hawkins?

"I have to admit that I've never even heard of this film, I will find it and watch it as soon as I can. Cal" Wow I never imagined this would actually inspire people to watch it, that is just so cool. Its a wonderful film, the interviews are great as well as the music clips. Omg no one's even mentioned Eric Clapton duelling with Robbie or Muddy Waters doing his thing. Or that sublime performance of Evangeline with Emmy Lou Harris.
