Why are watersports so elusive?

Hi guys and girls, I know that this is a subject that come up fairly regularly but I am puzzled as to why when so many profiles have watersports listed as an interest so few people actually seem to enjoy indulging?

As a straight guy who would like the odd wet meet ( happy giving, love to receive) I would be interested to know if other members have experienced similar difficulties in finding playmates or perhaps I am just approaching it all wrong.....
