Noel was Reggie, to Liam's Ronnie, the Denis Wise to Liam's Vinnie and the Brownlow that carried his brother over line to Liam's Brownlow that was carried over the line.

I've forgotten where I'm going with this but I'm kind of saying that Noel was the brains of the operation and Liam just thumbed a lift.

Yeah, the only covers Oasis did were the Beatles. Noel wrote pretty much everything. Yeah he's an arrogant squinty eyed little shite but he's good a song writer.

I'd agree with this 100%. If I met him I'd probly want to slap the granny out of him. But I can think of five songs right now that I could die happy if I'd written just one of. I don't like the first three Oasis albums, can't stand all that wonderwall shit. But the first time I heard Sunday Morning Call my eyes teared up. I've liked the High Flying Birds stuff very, very much but the new album does sound like he's either run out of ideas or he just doesn't care any more.

Not my type at all but he was undeniably beautiful. George Michael made a brilliant docu before he died and the interviews with Liam were eye opening. He came across as someone you'd want to sit and shoot the shit with. Noel these days just acts like, as someone says, he thinks he's John Lennon and... He ain't. He's written some enviable songs but he's done nothing even close to the significance of The Beatles. The way they row in public is incredibly telling... You can't buy class.

I liked the first Oasis album. I actually thought they were better before The Beatles obsession became overpowering. The first album wasn’t like that.

I’ve spent many years not liking them as people, but I’ve heard interviews that have changed my perception a fair bit. I thought NG came across well on Desert Island Discs and LG being interview by kids on YouTube is great for example. They are capable of being very funny and quite touching when not “playing the rock star”.

I’ve said it before, but I suspect both are cleverer than the personas they portray.

I also think NG could write a brilliant memoir.
