I have no problem falling asleep, staying asleep is the problem, every night for the last month I’m wide awake at around 3am then it takes ages to go back to sleep. I’m fucked, anyone suffers from this any tips to overcome it?

Make sure you have at least 30mins with no electrics on, so phone off, tv off etc

Find a book to read.

Give your brain time to settle down.

Make sure you go toilet before bed.

I stop with the coffee after food, so around 1800 if I can.

Oh and work out whats causing you stress, because that may just be a reason why you wake.

Avoid alcohol, turn phone off, try lavender drops on pillow. I suffer myself with the same. Has improved since not going for a quick pint.

I have the same problem. I’ve tried everything to stop it but it keeps happening. I know it’s probably stress related but I can’t do anything about that x

I had this problem for a while. I couldn't sleep for more than 4 hours without waking up. It was stress in my case.

Im have the same problem. For me its usually caused by sound, usually my other half snoring or from next door and fuck knows what they're up to every night. Rather than lay there getting stressed i get up, make a camomile tea and smoke a bowl in front of the telly. Return to bed with either earplugs or earphones in so i can listen to some heavy-ass Doom Drone or a boring podcast. Theres one someone told me about on Spotify thats a guy with a really boring voice reading a really boring story, she told me that helps her.

Failing that, have a wank

Nytol and a glass of red wine.

Something in the red wine triggers something in the Nytol and makes it more effective.

Not a habit to get into, mind.

I listen to podcasts - set it going as I switch the light out and I rarely hear it all. I do the same if I wake through the night

I sleep badly in general. I take natural supplements zma and htp-5 takes a week or so to work so keep on with it but i generally get 6 hours when i am on these as opposed to my hour without!

I have Calm - the app, on my phone.

Maybe give that a go?

I don't touch any drug's if I can help it, bit it pain killers, sleep, etc

But normally, my lack of sleep or waking up early is down to stress (or a certain body being next to me )

Find the stress, sort the stress and bin the electrics.

Fingers crossed you find something!

I've experienced sleep apnoea in the past. It's not very nice but I figured out it was down to me having a nana nap in the afternoon

Also check that your pillows are suitable
