Used to play D&D a long time ago, but got addicted to a more tactical, strategic game, called Amber. It is dicelless and based on the novel by Roger Zelazny (I think I've got his surname almost right) - loved the books, loved playing, even went to the role-playing conference for a few years.

It's a massively cult game. Love it to this day, just wish my Amber buddies didn't live so far away. Had so many nights playing with Enigma in the background and the magic sort of happened within half an hour when we all properly got to really feel the characters we were playing.

Of course Star Trek, the Star Wars films and Stargate Atlantis, all in there. And lets not forget Buffy the Vampire Slayer!
