i know its mad, i think some people ya never get them out your head, ive totally deleted my cheating ex off facebook, out my phone so got no way of contacting her or nothing, and we last split in august, and even yesterday daft stuff made us think of her

i'd never ever go back or out, and i would say im over her but still sometimes think about her every so oftem. but then ive not went out with anyone since where they been my girlfriend or been in love with them too so think once i do i'll have someone else to think of haha.

but i know she probs the same, as no matter how bad we fell out all it used to take was one of us to text the other asking what we were upto and not long after we be back to fucking again even if we never went out, thats why when we last fell out and she deleted my number and messaged me a few months after for it back on facebook i decided to block and delete and do us both a favour coz it never works since she just cheats for fun lol

but yeah ya need to move on with someone else,

best way to get over someone is to get under someone new haha! its pretty much down to her i started to come on sites like this when me head was too messed up to get into going out with anyone new coz they just wernt her, now im rid of her and over her and ready for someone new but ya still sometimes think and wonder what they doing , thats why i got rid of all contact details so cant pick the scab as i call it when feeling sorry for myself and send her a text getting back in touch as it never works out for the best!

i call it picking the scab coz if you dont let it heel you never get over them, as every time you pick a scab it gets worse. its like playing snakes and ladders and ending up near the top then they get back in touch with you and you land on the big snake that takes you about 2 levels from the start of the game haha! plus bad relationships like that are a bit of a scab as well so it fits in quite well haha!

well to be fair if they that easy to forget about like that then you probally wernt really in love with them in the first place!

some people ya never loose out ya heart no matter what they do, but you can take them out your mind and move on, i think in the end your heart will never totally move on till someone replaces them in there!

Nice answer wishy!

A few practical tips that helped me over the years.....keep busy, so u take ur mind off thinking about her and the breakup.

Keep socializing, u can't beat having a beer and a good laugh with mates.

Delete phone numbers, email and Facebook then u can't contact when pissed or upset urself keeping tabs on what she Is up to!!

And finally time! It does help.

Cry, cry and cry some more. Write down all your feelings, the good times and bad. Every day write about how you feel. Go out and get on with life, eventually you will read your own diary and realise that your heart is healing. And life really does go on. I speak from experience here, my mum, dad, nan and 4 children have all gone. I wanted to die when that happened but l had a younger one who needed me. The pain is still there and will be every day of my life, but l do have to continue living. The grief will eventually lessen.

Done all of the above, hahaha had to as I'm terrible at sleeping and would end up phoning at silly o clock, all great advice, glad I'm not the only one to go through it, actually enjoying this talking about it stuff lol xx

you learn to live with it and time ,,,, is the only thing that make things easyer ..... you never get over it .Better to have loved and lost then never to have loved at all x a world with out love would be a sad old place x

In my experience I don't think you ever truly get over someone you love.

I still love my ex !!! but what I think happens is that the longer you are apart the love gets pushed back behind other things in your life that are prevelant at the time.

I haven't seen or spoken to my ex in over 4 years but every now and then something will surface maybe brought on by a song or a phrase or maybe one of my lads may say something !!! and then it all comes flooding back.

It only stays for a short time and then you are back to normal !!!!

And even if you fall in love with someone else sometimes that lost love still makes itself known.

what wishy said if its meant to be it will be if not then you have to move on.. No use dwelling the what if's and maybe's.. I learnt that today by my collegue who in no uncertain terms told me to get a grip and to learn from it.. I don't think I will forget him as I think I did fall in love with him... He claimed to of fallen in love with me but the way he treated me I think it was a trying to get over his ex phase he was going through... The one thing I am angry about is my parents spend £150 on a meal the week before he ended it... wanker!!!

Dont think about it as how do i stop loving them, but as how do i get on with my life. Not in a cold way, but in the acceptance that one chapter has finished.

Time helps, as does ensuring you are looking after yourself, i know it sounds daft but eat well, sleep well, spend time with friends doing things you enjoy. As time passes you will discover thinking about her hurts less.

Dont think another relationship will heal it either, each person should be loved for who they are, not because of someone else.

Each person i have loved/love has led me to being the person i am today,learn from this experience and see that as a positive.
