I have just watched a music video of Chris Brown and thought i would not mind a bit of him

Thinking that however got me thinking, Chris Brown apparently beat Rhianna etc. So would i still date him knowing that?

So what would you do? Would you date someone who had previously been violent to their partner (man or woman)? Or do you think that a leopard never changes its spots?

I think different people can elicit different reactions out of others and know exactly what buttons to press to wind that person up and get a reaction.

However, I also think that if someone has a natural / genetic violent streak then that is with them for life - it is how they recognise and hence manage it that is the key.

e.g. if you know you are violent off drink, don't drink !

BUT - Some make mistakes then grow and learn.

Cliche is cliche

I'd date Chris Brown but i'd always be aware of what he did and i'd be on the lookout for temper etc..

Maybe one date for the insight into the lifestyle.

Relationship material ? No.

But he was a kid ......so what about when he's 30 or 40 ? Should he still be branded as the same person ?

Yes...maturity, self awareness and growth can happen...but its probably better to meet the person after that process than during.(not that personal growth should ever cease.)

i am a far more content person than i was 3 years ago...almost sane at times.

kev recently said that he always knew this person was there and just waited for her to appear. However my issues were ones surrounding self love and self esteem. i was not a danger to anyone else whilst i grew to the point i am at now.

you cant really answer that because some people learn some dont

My sisters ex went to prison for donestic violance with his ex wife and he never changed, my sister moved in with him knowing this but believed he had changed, took him a year before the voilance started on her and i believe he went back to prison for abuse on the woman he was with after my sister left him, so in his case no he obviously likes beating women and isnt going to stop

Yes I believe that some people can change but it's not something that happens overnight.

Yes, people can change. I know that I have a very short fuse but time has taught me to keep a very tight grip on it and now when I feel myself getting to the point where the touch paper is about to be lit I simply walk away, or fook off down the pub lol

That wasn't the case many years ago and I found myself getting into all sorts of scrapes because I didn't know when, or how, to hold back and shut up.

people used to say once a man hits you or is violent towards you, he will always be the same, but i know people who have changed for the better, become kinder nicer people, so i dont believe that is true.

People can change traits in their personality yes. Would i get into a relationship with someone who had made a mistake in their past, yes. Would i go with someone who had a history of violence towards women, then my answer would be no.

nor would i, i have 3 daughters and theres no way id give someone who had a history of violance towards women the benifit of the doubt or let them live in the same house as me and my girls

Im sorry but i just wouldnt take that risk
