Challange It or Ignore It?

Is Ignoring it always the best thing to do?

Is Challenging always the best thing to do?

I know some quarrels aren't worth the energy but sometimes I read things on here or observe things on here and wonder challenge it or ignore it?

Suppose it depends on the type of person you are, On fab/ in the swinging world though are you more of a challenger or an ignorer?

Do you challenge your self to be more open minded or a ‘better lover’ or to keep going on here if you’ve had no meets yet or challenge another's behaviour.

Do you just ignore it when ppl are being vile or that 14th message post the initial ‘no thank you’ or that lump you were meant to see the Dr about.

Disclaimer: there is more to life than fab so does it matter? Or does it?

Discuss please....

Do you mean in messages or on the forum? In messages, definitely ignore. Those people are just looking to get a reaction and being ignored probably frustrates them more than anything.

The same could go for the more obvious troll posts in the forum actually.

There and to the left a bit

I think it's a question of discretion on a case by case basis - if it's a topic I feel passionate or knowledgeable about and things are being said that require challenging then I will do so, for the sake of adding balance as much as anything, but there are times when it's obvious that no matter what you say challenging something is a fruitless task, and then stating your case and backing off or ignoring completely is the best course of action

I guess it depends on the reader and the writer regarding the topic. Sometimes its best to challenge to make a statement or try educate etc. Other times its just best to move on and ignore cos its not worth your time. All a matter of perspective and the situation really. Theres no right or wrong in the end, you do you

I'd say pick your battles.

Sometimes it's not worth the energy.

I challenge in real life more than on here. On here I tend to keep scrolling and ignore the obvious trolls.

If it's a question of opinions I don't think there are many people whose opinion or belief will be swayed by an argument on the internet, no matter how well reasoned or how much verifiable fact is presented.

In real life it's very different, it's possible to have much more open conversations where opinions and beliefs can be more effectively challenged.

Even then, if it's a political or religious conversation then I tend not to get involved because people rarely want to truly consider views that don't match their own.

There are certain areas where I have a level of knowledge or expertise and I'm happy to share facts, but ultimately it's pointless if I'm just banging my head against a wall.

I pick my fights.

A bit of time over the years on the forums, has to taught me to recognise my own temperament, and when to just flick to another thread, and not care about a complete strangers opinion.

Neither. I ask questions. Perhaps I misunderstood them. So many people just get irate without thinking about what's been said.

I think 'trolls' are very rare on here. People often get called trolls if they aren't constantly arse licking.

Theres a thread on that. Its surprising how many confess to licking arses. Perhaps I misunderstand.

Tackle the ball not the person and you cant go wrong.

Well I mean people will block you if youre opinion is different etc, but youre not doing anything wrong in my opinion.

I think tackling the person like "oh hes an idiot ignore him", or "Hes just a troll", or things along them lines are not okay. If that is your only reaction to something then just skip it.

If it is something I feel passionate about especially in forums, I will always challenge if a if I feel strongly about a matter. I am not a sheep or someone who will jump on the bandwagon take a stance on a point in which they don't actually believe in just to gain attention or popularity. Hate hypocrisy, sactimony and mass judgement. Grabbing pitch forks and shouting hang them. I will always stand up for tolerance, acceptence, injustice and enlightenment, even if it leaves me isolated, the intent of my words may be miss understand but i will always stand by them . If I'm wrong ill say I'm wrong

I Ignore, if it's an interesting topic then I'll add an opinion but I'm too passive for debates, I lose interest and get distracted too easily by someone else.

.

It depends. Before I was quite hotheaded and would go in all guns blazing and have to have the last word. Now, meh. I'm a lot more laidback and don't tend to rise to it. If something is really I'd comment on it but I know more about when to challenge something or leave it be now.

If I'm defending or supporting someone I care about, I'm a vicious little pup, all guns blazing. I won't stand for someone else being walked over, but with me, I'm a bit meh, whatever. I can do without the drama generally!
