Hiding in the shadows

Mine started this year, and I was completely unprepared for the effects

It has been devastating.

I knew all the potential side effects, I'd say most women are aware of them.

But until it hits you, and we're all different then you truly cannot comprehend how your life will be effected.

I've put on 3st, despite a healthy diet, and in the gym everyday.

My hair *sob, falling out in chunks.

I've gone from a happy, positive person to a snarling, paranoid psycho bitch that would gauge your eyes out with a rusty spoon.. That's when I can remember where the spoons are.

And libido didn't just hit the floor, it crashed right through onto the cellar.

I'm currently not able to take HRT, due to other medical issues.

I'm waiting on a referral to see a super specialist but have been warned could be another 6mths!!

Just a case of taking one day at a time, sometimes even hour by hour.

The one thing that has stopped me from sinking completely is amazing friend's.

Ones who've listened to me rant, scream, call them every name under the sun.

They've let me cry, get shit off my chest. They've stood by me at my worst.

Friends like that are priceless.

OP.. If you like this lady, be that friend x

I have read that the menopause process tends to last about 5 years... I am only 6 months in, so it's not a happy thought. Hopefully someone can reassure us that the bad bit doesn't last that long ?

I found the wellwoman menopace tablets helped me.

Sex drive has definitely dropped but when I use my rabbit to make sure everything still works ok, I reach orgasm much quicker now

I am generally past it all now although those hot flushes do appear still.

To all of you it will get better in fact it gets great. Haven't wanted this much sex since my 20's!

Just ride it out ladies and gents and cut each other some slack. X

Its hell

Started new hrt tablets 4 months ago and just starting to feel ok less tired less moody and sex drive back nearly

Try cbd oil also as it can help

Evening primrose oil capsules too

I actually thought I was losing my mind until I spoke to friends

I felt a bit anxious etc and that's just not me

The symptoms from menapause can sometimes be classed as anxiety and depression
