Medically, the only reasons that I can think of that warrant circumcision are:

Severe recurrent balanitis where the foreskin and head of the penis become inflamed and infected

Severe phimosis (tight foreskin where the foreskin cannot be pulled back over the top of the penis)

Paraphimosis where the foreskin can't be returned to its original position after being pulled back (the top of the penis becomes swollen and painful)

Balanitis xerotica obliterans (BXO) a chronic inflammatory condition that results in penile scarring, inflammation and phimosis

Penile carcinoma

If you were to cut away the clitoral hood (the female equivalent of the foreskin) then you could be charged with female genital mutilation.

I think the same rules (excepting the above) should apply for male circumcision.

The only saving grace being that HIV transmission rates in circumcised men show partial protection over those retaining a foreskin in heterosexual relationships.

The removal of the foreskin for anything other than a very limited number of medical reasons is MGM plain and simply , and infants who have it done to them because of religious reasons are being assulted it's barbaric and wrong plain and simply and it should be illegal
