"Im always on the lookout for a bargin and would never spend silly money on clothes." Only clothing items I normally won't spare expense are shoes. You usually get what you pay for comfort /quality wise. Everything else is fair game

Would never usually buy shoes from a charity shop but these are lovely and hardly been worn.

"Got some really good bargains in charity shops, clothes including Levi, M&S, Wrangler, Oakley & Rohan all in very good condition, never pay more than £8 for anything. " I always look for well known shop labels. Best to go to a town where posh folk live to get the best bargins.

I found 4 pairs of Levi Jeans for around $8 a pair amongst other things. We've also used them to cheaply kit out cabin kitchens or basic AirBNB kitchens on holiday (large pots, frying pans, extra mugs, utensils etc etc) then we take it all back before we go home! One frying pan was so good I made room in the suitcase for it

"I was browsing in one of my favourite charity shops and noticed two lovely dresses. "Cor they're nice" I thought, then realised I'd donated them the week before . We buy a lot of stuff in them. " I think oh crikey what the heck is that awful thing?! Then realise I own the same item.

"All my winter coats and those for the grandchildren come form charity shops, nearly all of them brand new too. Today my coat, scarf, dress and jumper were all charity shop finds and none of it boring or poor quality. Just beware of the shops that like to charge almost full price for pre-loved stuff and watch out for the more scruffy places, they often have gems of items at next to nothing. I got a White Stuff heavy scarf recently and all I was asked for was 50p." That is a bargain! I look for White Stuff scarf’s on EBay and they still go for quite a price. I usually get outbid in the last few seconds I did buy some bedside drawers for my youngest’s bedroom for £10. I was quite chuffed with that. He’s done his best to demolish them but they are still going strong.

"Sadly, most of the vintage/charity shops here and all over this side if the continent really are scoured and gleaned by people who take the clothes and upsell them through their own shops, or on face book. " I run a successful business selling on Ebay a certain range of products 80% of which I buy from charity shops, I always pay the asking price.

I,m starting to think more about charity shops now for some Items but depending on the previous owners In hygiene as far as foot wear goes you need to show some caution for example athletes foot the fungal spores can carry from one occupant to the other even in mild cases.

"What is a charity shop?" I only go into shops when I know exactly what I want, and if the first shop doesn't have it then it obviously doesn't exist and I ho home.
