I enjoy receiving verifications as much as the next but don't look at them that way. For me they serve as a marvelous trip down memory lane with the person who wrote them . The special ones always bring a smile to my face when I read them.

There's always someone who has to say something "smart" on these forums to put people off chatting on them. For your information, i actually tried to meet people in person but tehy ended up not turning up and being timewasters. So just prefer to make contacts on cam atm... Wish people could be more polite on forums and less judgemental. I just started this post as a light hearted topic to get people chatting etc. But seems every time I post, there's always someone being impolite for no particular reason.

What I meant is I don't kiss and tell. If I see too many veri's on the woman I am talking to (mainly meeting for sex, rather than meeting in social and cams) it does kinda put me off. That is my perspective. Nothing really to be upset about!

For some of us verification opens up a whole other world.It doesnt make you sexier or better in bed but gives you the golden ticket to meets here in Ireland.

Im just a normal older bloke on here ,have all my own teeth ,all my own hair (not a lot of it but all my own) and I can't get into any kik groups or the only club that I know in Dublin.

If I had one verification from a meeting i could so I dont want to collect lots just the elusive one.

I'm hoping to fly to the uk early in the new year to Liverpool to a club and maybe someone would be kind enough to verify me if i make a nice impression.

I always get a tingle of excitement when I see that little green bar at the top of the screen that says "you have a verification", opening it is like unwrapping a Christmas present. And if its particularly nice then I feel its a job well done.

For us verifications are just there to show we are real people and do show up, most of ours are socially as we are unfortunately picky and don't always want to play.. But we also like to see other peoples In person verifications to know they are not a fake.

Nah I'm just glad that I have one. Before then it used to aggravate me when ladies would write in their profiles things like..

"if you haven't got verifications, it's obvious that you don't want to meet anyone" etc etc..

But that is easy for ladies to say, because they get lots of offers. Just getting a message i find almost impossible, nevermind meeting someone.

Years ago I recall BrightonSteve running a thread called the 500 club. It was essentially a club that only had people who had 500 verifications from play meets in it.

We had been on Fab for about two years and had something like 450 veris so I jokingly said we would soon be members of this exclusive club.

We went to a few clubs and parties over the next few weeks and had a few dogging meets and hit the magic 500 so I posted on the thread and showed our verification summary along with a selection of the best veris.

What a mistake that was!

We were slated left right and centre!

Not by him, he thought it was great, as did a fair few in the thread at the time. But pm’s and open comments showed so many thought we were disgusting.

We were advised early on not to show our summary and too many veris as so many swingers like to judge you. After this we realised it was good advice!

Anyway we closed that account pretty quick and never really bothered about veris after that.

No you don’t need to change it. You know what you want and that’s fine. Lots of sexual verifications puts me off too. Doesn’t mean it’s wrong. Just not for me. We all know what we want and we’re not all looking for the same thing

I agree. I am looking for quality than quantity. Yes, this is a sex site and there is someone for everyone. However, there is an imminent risk of STI's etc. I am a sensual person. For me connection and closeness is very important before I get physical with that person. People with too many veri's ( I am talking 50+) may be looking for just a quick fix. Again, that is my perception. It may not be the reality.
