Don't like fishing, it's more boring than cricket. And I like cricket.

derby

I used to go fishing coarse and sea then In 1987 I turned to bird watching but the Interest never dies, bird watching can Involve long periods around water and seeing carp spawn one year was a highlight for me in a small lake you only have to be by a river or lake for periods at a time to witness things, I had some good times when I fished to I used to go with my dad and grand dad when I was younger watching my grand dad tie on a number 16 hook and then putting on a boiled piece of wheat to catch rudd was memorable some about 10ozs or more thou I think hybrids existed to with the roach, In later years I caught my biggest coarse fish a tench of around 5lb on a piece of sweet corn you could spend many hours not catching much at all and rarely nothing at all in a local lake I used to fish you could nod off If you were not careful at such times but very relaxing also, river fishing was a different ball game all together as you,ll probably know and I always found I lost more fish in the river with the current etc but being outdoors was enjoyable..

I use to fish until i realised its just like wanking and looking to find a girlfriend..

You wait for long periods of time with your rod in your hand hoping to catch a good one...
