......who don't get on.....

When I came back to the forums (after hiding away for a while) I had zero friends on the forum and very few ppl who would risk talking to me publically. In a way that was a nice feeling, starting from base with no tribes or cares. However, gradually I've made a few really decent friendships here and found some ppl who are great fun to be around and genuinely make me happy and brighten my day

BUT, my question is this - what do you do when your friends don't like each other or if they clash or fight frequently? Do you ignore that particular thread, do you join in and try to settle things down, or take the side that most agrees with you on that particular subject? Or are there no rules? Or is it just a beautiful fucking problem to have and one should be grateful....?

TELLLLL MEEEEEEEEE! plz.....

I don't have that issue on here as not got any sufficiently close friendships to be bothered.

In real life I have two friends who can't stand each other. I see them separately but they do occasionally bicker on my Facebook posts. I stay out of the whole thing as I don't want to get involved; far as I'm concerned it's not my fight. They're grown-arse adults, they don't need me to hold their hands.

Most of my ‘friends’ here get along

I'm friends with a few who don't get on and I doubt they ever will. They don't really bicker on here and I doubt they ever will, they aren't that type. When it's happened with past forumites if they go beyond a certain point, I'd step in and say something. But to be honest I'd do that with anyone if I see it, regardless of if they are my friends or not. I tend to focus on the post rather than the poster if that makes sense?

Yeah I get that and agree, the bit I struggle with is that if you're my friend then generally I'm loyal regardless, which I know is a bit twatty, but you cant always be loyal to two ppl who are fighting.....

Let them fight it out between themselves and make it clear to both you're not getting involved. Well that's what I would do, if you want to get involved just keep in mind it could backfire on you, and you could end up losing one or both as friends.

Plus, I steering clear of a thread if it turns toxic. I come into the Forum for a laugh and to keep it light.

Thanks my lovely, and thanks also for answering with something more than "I don't so drama ". Ppl who don't do drama usually do do drama - would you expect a mad axe murderer to own up to his axe fetish.....? It's not relating to anything or anyone specific I just struggle with watching ppl I semi-care about arguing frantically over something which is usually a waste of time.... Maybe the solutions is just not to watch it...?

La la land

Not on here, but in real life I do tend to get involved. I don't like seeing people I care about making each other unhappy. If I can help I will try, for example talk to both sides to see what the actual problem is. Often it's a misunderstanding that's gotten out of hand. I argued with a mate I had since the first day in secondary school and out friends decided to keep out. So we didn't talk for well nearly a decade, we both grew up and decided to talk to each other and we're now mates again. Looking back we're both sure if some of our friends had sat us down it could have been resolved much sooner

I quite like having friends that would never in a million years be friends though, I mean because they're so different. I find that if my group of ppl are all linked like a tribe then I start to lose my individuality and thirst for learning because theres nothing new to learn when we all synchronise.....? Friends who are similar are easy to sort

Oh well then you chose your mates for their specific uniqueness. To try and make them get on would be trying to make them less them, and then may take away what drew you to them in the first place. People don't have to get along to be respectful towards one another though and that's where I would draw the line

I prefer not to get involved, a little ribbing here and there where I know someone can take it and give as good as they get. I first started on fab many many moons ago and some know me, though many choose not too

The forums have not changed but the faces do. There seem to be archetypes which must be filled when one leaves another arises

I used to make friends with other forum users but now I avoid this, lamp post pissing, bully groups, and the like wear thin. As does jealousy and obsessive behaviour.

Now I just pop in, post something inane (like this) and the whoosh away.

your imagination

I haven't really noticed any of my friends clashing as such. There will be opposing sides of an argument or debate on certain topics alright, but my friends seem to be sufficiently intelligent enough to know that's just a difference of opinions and nothing personal.

I think though if any of my friends disliked someone enough to warrant constant clashing, I would have my own internal review... My friends tend to be good judges of character and if they find someone suspect or disagreeable, it's generally with good reason.

I think some ppl have an problem online with the word drama. If I'd asked "what should you do if two of your good friends who you love dearly are arguing over something silly?" (which is essentially what I was asking), then I may have received some very different responses involving a lot less use if the word drama or online.... why do pll fear fab drama so much, I dont get it, it's no different from regular life, the ppl are still real with feelings, aren't they....?

"Im not that close to anyone to even know who argues with who. I keep out of forum drama

Agree with this...other people's drama or issues are not my concern...life's too short to get involved.

Absolutely this. We don’t do drama in real life. Certainly not going to do it on Fab. This is our escapism where we look for likeminded others.

No. I have no feelings. "

Can I have a feel...?

As I said in my comment, we use Fab for escapism. For us it’s a world away from real life.

I love the forums but have seen threads turn very nasty. People tearing each other apart. I want no part in that. I don’t fear it but it’s certainly very different to regular life. Your real friends don’t delete themselves never to be seen again. It’s a regular occurrence on the Fab forums, often with those you thought you had built a bond with.

Start being needy for one & require propping up emotionally, generally find people only want to fill your time with their dramas, find it quite draining & negative whereas we’re both very positive people

My two main best friends don't get on! Partly because they're quite similar and antisocial.

Forum wise stay true to yourself and voice your own opinion. If they are your friend then they'll know its meant in the way you've intended. If they take it personally then screw them!

Fix it

I love you F&B and you're still my number two forumite, but wtf are you on about?

Even I don't know so don't count on me to explain my random posts dude.

So, it's ok if I just assume and make shit up and say like for example "that F&B dude, he likes fucking melons when they're not even ripe!" yeah....?

That is about it. Talk a bit about anus and rectum. Rectum make you sound like you know your shit (literally)"

I am NOT shit!!!!
