Meet drop

We all know about sub drop and how it can effect us emotionally, how about “meet drop” when you have a build up for days maybe weeks and then you meet.

You feel great and warm inside, then you meet and it’s not how you planned or maybe the opposite and you feel like “omg yes I wanna rip his clothes off “! But your left feeling kinda , mehhhhhhh.

Anyone ?

I don't build up expectations for a meet anymore. I can only control my element of the meet. People have off days and it doesn't always work out.

Yes I agree, just sometimes I have feelings of low after meeting, even if it went really well and was just a social. I think my personality and my confidence has a way with me having negative feelings even when there’s no reason to think negative

I always thought it was just me that felt this way but then there was a thread discussing it and many people felt the same. Similar to sub drop, like a drop in adrenaline/ hormones/ happy feelings. Like looking forward to a holiday then feeling crap when it's over.

Treat yourself kindly afterwards. I find it got easier when I expected it because I didn't 'beat myself up' about it anymore.

Yeah it can happen - especially with a meet you have been looking forward to and as you say there has been a build up beforehand, everything goes great and you feel really comfortable in each other's company - there then might be a period of euphoria for a day or so after before the post-meet come down kicks in and perhaps the pre-meet regular messages etc die down a little as you each move on - it's only natural to feel a little wistfulness for the time spent together.

The key is how you deal with it and maintain the connection until the next time that things start to ramp up to meeting again and the excitement kicks in once more.

I don’t meet often I’d say once every 3 months maybe on average 6 times a year give or take.

Sub drop I know like I know my own face. It's got less severe over the years. I actually feel really good after a meet if it went well, I'm usually glowing for a day or two and little details will come back to me and make me smile.

I know exactly what you mean. I see it as a side effect of pursuing our dreams and living rather than just existing. Living in the moment can be scary and unsettling at tines but fuck it.. I'm doing it.

I have the lowest of expectations. Even being of the correct sex is a bonus The age will be a big fat lie. Likely they won't show up anyway so always have a plan B, like shopping or sticking lego up my nose and going to A&E
