"Oldest show I remember was hill St blues, but think that was the 80,s"

Pilot was in 1979 as far as I recall but it started fully in 1981. It didn't pull in ratings & was deemed to be pulled after Series 1, but TV Studio believed in it, and it soon won awards.

It was forerunner to other Police themed shows in following years.

Lifes departure lounge NN9 Northamptonshire East not West MidlandsMidlands

Danger UXB could have been the sixties though.

The seventies was a decade of fast cars, pubs, shagging and a disastrous marriage so not much time to watch T.V.

Mmmm I remember Hill St Blues .... it ran for ages with the gorgeous Lawyer Joyce Davenport (Veronica Hamel), who could forget those gorgeous legs!!

- like you said, mainly an 80s series though.

I use to like that programme especially the scene where a ufo would have come down into a waterbody something like a large hidden pond in a woodland and when the aliens decided to take off from the pond a combination of the spacecraft spinning and lights ? around it and gerry andersons background music to that or similar scenes thou not always underwater was quite eery but effective to see and listen to has a kid It made me take note of other life possibly out in the solar system ..
