Keen to hear people’s thoughts on this description - does it come across as snobbery if you include this description on your profile?

One of those things open to interpretation. 'Good school', or academic achievement?

What is it, a degree or higher?

Some will say it's snobbery, I say it's just a preference. If you don't like it just pass them by.

Very good point - it’s definitely ambiguous

It depends how it's worded.

It's always open to interpretation- the tone of the written word never comes across as you intended it.

You could put CHAVS FUCK OFF in capital letters.

That could get your point across

I don't think it's snobbery but there are those that will put their own slant on it.

Manchester (she/her)

It'll be interpreted in as many ways as there are people.

For me, I didn't get an education to offend people.

I think it's fine the way you've used it.

Haha, straight to the point. Don’t mind the chavistas - draw the line at tracksuits though.

They could claim to be ‘well educated’ and still be as dull as dishwater and have the charisma of walrus

Settlewick!

I have an IQ of 163 and 5 'A' levels. The only effect it's had on my fab persona is an intolerance to ignorant people messaging me with crass comments

Otherwise,so what?

I'm not bothered about academic achievement, but I like intelligence and someone articulate.

I know someone with a doctorate who can barely hold a conversation - a qualification doesn't necessarily say anything about someone's personality.

That said, if someone said they were well educated it wouldn't put me off, it just wouldn't be something I'd pay particular attention to.

Not to us. If you or anybody else consider yourselves to be well educated I think it's great. I genuinely don't get the dislike of people describing themselves positively here or anywhere else.

I have used well educated to describe myself on my profile in the past. But it's not, hey I'm amazing and you suck. It was a passing, this is a bit about me, I like these kinds of conversations. If that doesn't suit someone, then fine and best of luck. It's just who I am.
