"And I'm not talking about a rose poking out of your bum. " A ex gf made me a wee illustrated book with all the reasons why she loves me with wee pictures (cartoon etc etc) titled with our names on it. Not necessarily romantic but damm I’ve still got that book 6/7 years later. As the they say, the one that got away

"Being taken on a walk up a Welsh mountain on a winter's morning. Freezing cold, I wasn't really in the mood for it, then realising he'd gotten up early (before I was awake), trekked up the mountain and stomped our names in the snow on for all to see" that is pretty romantic. That would woo me

"When my dad was dying a guy I was casually seeing sent round a cleaner to look after my flat and a food delivery to stock up my fridge. I wasn't spending much time at home and it was stressing me that it was turning into a tip but I didn't have the time or energy to fix it when I was spending so much time at the hospice. The thoughtfulness of that still makes my heart hurt when I think about it. I don't normally like someone trying to take care of me, it makes me a bit uncomfortable, but I was in desperate need and he saw it." That has to be one of the most thoughtful things someone could ever do for someone else that really made my heart flutter. I'm so sorry about your dad it's in times like that you know who is really there for you Ms D

"And I'm not talking about a rose poking out of your bum. " I haven't received many romantic gestures, though I like to give them. An ex once hunted high and low to find a 1st edition of a book by my favourite author, on our first (paper) anniversary. That was cute.
