"I’ve got about half of pet semetary to go and then might pick up a WW2 memoir book. Or maybe the tattooist of auschwitz" The Tattooist of Auschwitz is not good read. It's a lovely story but the writing is poor and it needed a decent editor to knock it into shape.

"Half way through '1984' again! Before that it was 'the road to Wigan pier'. Next read is 'American Psycho' Bret Easton Ellis. I normally keep a book in the truck as well, that's just humour reading 'Stevo-o professional idiot a memoir' Steve-O Glover from jackass. " Have you read Coming Up For Air? "Ooh...I bought "the 86 fix" yesterday and it sounds awesome...hot chocolate and Flumps later... ----- On the way home from school in 1986, Craig Pelling decided to buy a can of Coke. He wasn't to know a seemingly innocuous visit to the local newsagent would dramatically change the course of his life. Consequently, Craig now lives in a loveless marriage and earns a living in a dead-end job as the manager of an electrical store. He could have been so much more. He could have achieved so much more. But fate hasn't finished with Craig Pelling. A school reunion proves to be the catalyst for chaos, and decades on from his visit to that newsagent, Craig's mundane life is turned upside down as his past comes back to haunt him. As he plummets towards rock-bottom, all seems lost for Craig until he's thrown a lifeline — the miraculous lifeline of a brief trip back in time to 1986. Will he be able to fix his life? Is it as simple as just reverting one decision he made over thirty years ago? Craig is about to find out. " Oh I've recently read Tuned Out by the same author and it was excellent.

"I've just finished my Susan Howatch epic, it was a tough one to explain (psychic monk leaves priory and marries a woman young enough to be his daughter then has a mental breakdown trying to do faith-healing after performing an exorcism. An everyday story of ordinary folk), but it had a lot of beautiful imagery and had a lot to say on the subject of grief and change. I'm now reading Li_elight by Emily Organ, but I'm not far enough into it to know whether I'll like it yet." The Susan Howatch epic- was it a series of books? "just finished Andrzej Sapowski series, The Witcher. Great series of books " The Witcher is 1 of the books I'm currently reading and struggling with at the mo, not sure if he isn't a particularly good writer or he has gotten lost in the translation. I will come back to it at some point and try again.

"Rereading Neuromancer by William Gibson, it's a stone cold classic. He's got a new book out at the end of this month, looking forward to it." That were good that. I'm on to another Joe Abercrombie. He's such a sadist.

"Are we all reading loads now that lots of us are home? I’m inhaling books " I am finding myself stressed and increasingly in need of comfort. A set of three Famous Five books was on offer on Kindle so that's what I'm currently reading. 45 years old and reading Five on a Treasure Island. I can't recommend it. Those kids are unbearably smug arses.
