Am guilty of this also... i have many filters on and still get messages not wanted! However i do read them 1st ... as already mentioned saying a polite no thanks often leads to abuse.. so rather just read and delete x

Sometimes someone won’t take no for an answer so they leave it weeks before messaging again and I delete or block if I’ve said no before not our type but don’t mean to be rude it’s just easier to do rather than having to repeat ourselves over again

There’s no offence intended, but if you reply no thanks you can get abuse, if you read it and don’t reply with two mins you get abuse, can’t win

Sending an aubergine might have been a bad idea. What if they aren’t a vegetarian.

I do it if it's messages from men, my profile states I want nothing to do with men, so I'd they message me I usually just delete it because if they can't be assed to read my profile I can't be assed to message them. Plus, better to do that rather than reject them and get loads of abuse hurled at me like I usually get.
