Personally I'd give her an hour, but it's your call. I was 15 minutes late for a social because we were at different Premier Inns! I couldn't message because I was driving...

Yes she could message to say running late.

But she could be driving, unable to use her phone.

I wouldn't risk points on my license or cause an accident.

I'm often late due to traffic.

But I always send a message as I'm leaving, with an ETA, and mention any delays showing on my Sat Nav that could delay me

To be honest. It would depend where I was waiting and whether I had the day off etc. If I had no further plans, and was in a cafe I would probably write it off, order a slice of cake and another coffee and people watch, completely forgetting I had arranged a meet) #easilydistracted)

When I got home and still hadn't had a message, I would block and get on with meeting others

I tend to arrange a social near shops so if it's a no show I can look through the shops before heading home.

I'd give someone half hour.

Tbh though, I wouldn't have even left home without hearing from them in the morning.

Did she reply after you agreed on 10am? She may still think it's 10.39. Personally id give it 30 mins from 10.30. Message her to say u are there and will be leaving after having a drink . She may think you are turning up at 10.30 and she maybe running late.

I have been stood up and I had even put my lippy on. The cheek of it. I think he saw me and changed his mind personally. But that’s okay. Shallow Hal is not for me.

It’s easier for people just to ghost you now if they change their mind.

Good maners and kindness doesn't seem to exist in some folk. Next time, before you leave for the meet, confirm beforehand just to be sure. That's the best we can do, but unfortunately some people are just plain mean.

Sorry to read how it turned out OP. You can never really be 100% certain about these things can you? In the past I was waiting for almost a hour before someone arrived; I was a few minutes from leaving but he arrived and explained why. I'm glad I waited (I think ). I hope the next person you arrange to meet does meet you.

There are life events that can completely derail your desire to meet or stay in touch even blocking you is maybe just a way of saying at the moment all is too much bother - it does not necessarily mean your "date" is a bad person. The lack of communication is horrible as you dont know where you stand - good luck next time

I respect the good u see in all people and I realise that . If it’s a one off then

Hopefully she will communicate better fir her future meets but it may not be the 1st time she has not done this. I had doubts that she wouldn’t turn up in morning but I did not once consider the possibility of letting her down . It’s not much to expect in return I’d respect her more fur telling me she had changed her mind .
