Are you ambitious at work or socially?

Are you quietly ambitious? Eager to climb the ladder with hard work and diligence.

Or

Are you aggressively ambitious?

Do anything to get to the top as quick as possible. Use and step on people who you see as a threat?

Maldon and Peterborough

I'm not one for treading on people's toes.

I did get tired of making companies, I worked for, lots of money and getting paid crap money.

So I went to work for myself.

Does that count as ambition?

In my job, no not at all. I am an ambitious pianist though and practice as much as possible. I do several hours a day if I can. Luke

Yes, that does make you ambitious. You worked hard and learned on the way to enable you to run your own business.

I hope that now you have your own company that you dont treat your staff the way you were treated?

I think I go through cycles.

I work hard to get to a position I want to be in and then settle down. After a while, when it becomes more tedious I get those itchy feet and start looking around again - then once I’ve found something else I want to do, my ambition and drive peaks and I go for it all over again.

Wouldn’t shit on someone else to get a job or get ahead though.

I would like to think its a good drive to have in life. As long as you know where to stop, without affecting your wellbeing.

I enjoy a role challenge but I'm not personally ambitious. I've missed a few career opportunities because I enjoyed what I was doing at the time more.

hiding from cock pics.

Ambition is something that just doesn't seem to be a part of me. The only ambition I have doesn't count really as ambition.

I just want to have a stress-free life and bring joy to those around me well enjoying myself each day.

At one point I had a volunteer position that was extremely stressful, I feel like I have used my motivation there and I'm now left with the will to just live as stress free and peacefully as I can but with also as much happiness and joy as I can pack into each day.

Both of us are very ambitious with our careers, but relaxed and content with our social life. Ailsa is forced to battle within a system, and she’s very tenacious. I have a lot more freedom, but limited by a lack of contacts. But we both love what we do, and that makes finding the energy to keep pushing forwards that much easier.

Living a stress free, peaceful and joyous life is about the best ambition anyone can have. We are only motivated in our careers because we enjoy what we do - Ailsa puts up with the stress because her profession is about helping others and she’s a very compassionate person. Living with kindness and empathy are noble goals, and every bit as valid as the more career-minded aspirations of other people.
