Do you ever find yourself asking the same questions of different people in private messages here? Does it ever seem like conversation gets a bit stale?

What do you do to inject a little fun into getting to know people here, when it gets a little tiresome?

There and to the left a bit

Sometimes it can get a little like that and fizzle out, or a conversation comes to a natural end until the next time you pick it up, it doesn't have to be a constant back and forth, it wouldn't't be with friends in real life and is no different here.

When the conversation just flows naturally and effortlessly though that's when the magic really happens

No. Everyone is different so there is ample room for different conversations with people, though i'm sure some basic questions may be repeated.

A little dash of wit and playful sarcasm usually works well

For me a good conversation isn't formulaic, I could be talking about halloumi with one person and at the same time discussing epistemology with another. I don't find I ask the same questions because people are different and make me respond in different ways to them.

I will say one thing though, if conversations become stale I lose interest quickly. Injection of spark should be done by both parties and if I feel like it's just me asking the questions/bringing the energy, I get to the can't be arsed point.

Different people lead conversation in very different directions, even where starting points can be the same. If I find it going stale I tend to wrap up, not somewhere I'm likely to proceed.

Slow down, reduce energy in the conversation, see if they pick it up. If they don't, I'm no longer feeling it, best of luck etc.

Yeah, fab breaks can help reset your view on things. Sometimes I get fab fatigue and stepping away resolves it. Hopefully you get it back soon.

Might have something to do with trying to reply to all messages, even with a no thanks. It's exhausting!

I also think the level of conversation cam vary from person to person and be dependent on how long you've known them - there's always that initial flurry of messages back and forth as you get to know someone - with some people that might be quite lengthy missives a couple of times a week, with others it might be short messages constantly back and forth.

Then after a while once you've got to know someone either the conversation will fizzle out completely or contact may reduce to occasional messages catching up etc - there really is no hard and fast everything fits one style rule it's what works between two individuals
