A world of my own

What kind of things do you take on hols to read or do on the beach or by the pool? I have tried taking books to read but as I'm nosey and love people watching I very rarely get past the second chapter! I do enjoy doing the odd puzzle/crossword though, (ok more like Arrowords ) they keep me quiet and out of trouble for a bit.

as it happens they are only available from selected book sellers and not from a mail order, but the company sadly no longer publish them as most of the mags have taken their trade in the short story industry
