Personally yes. The sooner I see all the decorations and other OTT stuff popping up the less impact it has, it stops being about Christmas and is just background crap.

We dont even put a tree up anymore! When we did it went up around the 22nd and came down on boxing day.

Partly because Christmas seems to start at the end of August nowadays, so by the time it actually gets to Christmas I'm overexposed and sick to death of it

bored?

Christmas is about giving

I believe in giving every day of the year and my tree stays up all the time . Christmas is about giving to the poor and needy. It is also about re-birth and starting all over again just like New Year, out with the old and in with the New..

If you really want to get in to what Christmas is, it's a warped mish mash of different celebrations. To you, Christmas is about giving. Not to everyone. So yes, I am allowed to get bored of the fanfare of it all.

I agree. I’ve always been Christmas mad. Halloween I hate, bonfire night I could live without. For me it’s all about the children and as I have a large age gap between mine I’ve always had one who believes and it’s just the best thing ever. It really depends on people’s situations. I’m sure If I had no kids or no family I’d hate it. My friend puts her tree up on Xmas eve. To me December is xmas. I’ve filled it up with trips, grottos, ice skating, breakfast with Santa, winter wonderland. Pretty much everything I could think of. I just love it
