Anyone had experience with this ?,

I finally got mine under control after about 7 years of suffering badly with it.

Now I've got all the scars to show for it lol, anyone know the best treatment for scarring?.

To get rid of my acne btw which was graded at moderate to severe, I tried all of the doctors treatments bar accutane and none of it worked.

I ended up looking into it myself now I use the acne.org regimen and swear by it so if you're suffering and nothing works you'll have to do this it works 100% although quite pricey.

Aylesbury

Acne is in the family but I luckily escaped the worst of it. My sister though, she was put on some experimental treatment to cure hers.

Manchester (she/her)

I never had it as bad as acne, but my constant spot or five (worse when I was younger) I've eliminated to one or two at that time of the month.

Better diet, more exercise, and I use products from The Ordinary, which are pretty inexpensive.

I'v messaged you, but for scarring i would most definitly be looking at dermaplaning with a peel,is it still active?

I was put on roaccutane 3 times ( they usually only prescribe 2 treatments) regarding the scaring you need to go to the docs and ask for some steroid gell it does help. Or you could pay for a deep skin peel. Personally i just use baby soaps and savlon... im too old to care that ive been set on fire and put out with a fork.

Product wise, well that's difficult one as i try to only use chemical free products.

Basically anything on a shelf has to have a preservative in it and that would be a PARABENS

There are 5 different types but they will all end in paraben.

These products usually have hormone changing chemicals as well.

The best thing would be sea mineral products (spurina etc) these will reduce redness and control outbreaks and sebum production and products with skin brightening ingredients and healing, tamanu oils amd various other products.

Redditch

I suffered quite badly for years, and finally cured it with the roaccutane

Apparently it did give me mood swings, tho, even though I never noticed

Steroids have their place but destroy the skin and a peel whilst on steroids will really damage further,i treat adults and teens with acne, rosacea, lupus rash etc

Skin gets confused if yoiu don't treat it right.

For instance a young person using anti aging products will in the long run hinder the skin because its mixed messages and stops producing what it needs because your putting it on which isn't what you want

It's very demorilising for folks but help is there, re scarring if its not active acne dermarolling is amazing because it traumatised skin goes into repair and cell production making fibroblast, elastin and collegen....everything good about skin

You need a Comcit Elite course of facials.... Includes microdermabrasion, oxygen therapy and micro needling. I don't know how bad your scarring is, but I've seen amazing results with this treatment.

You'll have to have been off the reaccutane for at least 6 months though...

It was for me too until i learned to love with it, i still have outbreaks now even at 37 but its usually brought on by stress or illness, when i was 19 years old i was nearly blinded in one eye when a cyst burst inwardly into my eye socket, i used to look like the elephant man now i just look like gollum add being skinny and ginger to all of that and you can imagine how happy my adolecence was

Suffered with moderately severe cystic acne for years, from the age of about 22 to 28.

Took a course of roaccutane in 2018. Didn't suffer from any of the mental side effects durin gthe course, although it did raise my cholesterol a bit.

I'm now clear & only get the occasional pimple instead of cystic acne.

I have scars on my face, back & chest. The facial scarring I have is pretty bad & I have patches of my beard hair missing due to it. I have a lot of scars on my back, but I'm not bothered by it.

I might get some treatment done on my face though.

Oh that's really awful for you, but honestly there are things you can do, like the lady above said a good course of treatments can really work, they aren't gimmicks x
