100 message limit

The right place

This is not something I have ever experienced (being male on here) but is it true there’s a limit that you can only see the last 100 messages in your inbox?

Also is there a limit on the number of messages you can send a day? I sometimes see people referring to maxing out their messages.

I think, but dont know, theres a limit if you're not a site supporter, but even so it's a lot of messages.

Saw a thread a whole back from someone who used up his allocation.

The general responses were of incredulity that they had exceeded their quota in a day......

There's only 100 on first page but if you delete some they move up a page. If you bulk delete everything goes though

Yeah as a free member you can only see 100, so you have to delete a message to see ones that get below there, or there is a handy button to "delete and go to next unread" or something on the message.

I have never used it because people freak out when you delete their message.

There is also an interesting thing that can happen.

Older messages get deleted, I think maybe after a month or two. SO even if its unread it will be deleted.

If you have had something like 245 unread messages and 10 get deleted as you get 10, then you wont notice you got new ones. Which means sometimes you just simply wont even notice you got new ones.

Thought it was only 75 visible till you deleted some of the new ones.

Might be actually, I don't know how many are on the first page, just knew the older ones moved up if you deleted.
